I prefer using AAA+ grade professional acrylics on a high-quality canvas board for the lovely weave and texture in the finished painting. I also paint watercolours for a smaller picture, in a faster and looser style.
Yes. I have been trained to a BA degree level in digital arts and graphic design. If it suits the application for a T-shirt, mug or website, patches, logos for example then digital design is certainly the way to go, over the paintbrushes.
That will depend on the subject's complexity, the research scope and the digital preliminaries required. And of course, how large the painting needs to be, plus how busy my schedule is. Generally, I would reccomend a month's lead time at least.
